It worked! He had ran back a short distance back home to borrow a bobby pin from his nanny (who was still napping soundly at the kitchen). Their house wasn't far away and this was the only thing he found that could work, and he was surprised that it did.
Stuffing the bobby pin back into the front pocket of his overalls, the boy pushed the door open quickly. Somebody in there sounded like they needed his help.
"Owww!! That's my foot!"
"Oh! Sorry!"
The boy released the door that was pushing into something that looks as huge as an old tree stump, and covered with a thick coat of brown matted fur. What in the world...?
His gaze followed the "foot" in question and saw that it belonged to someone he was not expecting. Before he could figure out what or who he was looking at, the scratchy voice boomed again, "Hello?? Help me out of this mess, will ya??"
The thing had its head stuck through the hole in the ceiling, with its two furry arms, thick as the boy's own torso, feeling about the floor, pushing the meaty sausages (now strewn all over the floor) around, as if trying to reach for something but in vain.
"Do something! Please. Ughh! Why does this keep happening to me?" the impatient voice now sounded almost resigned.
Astonished, the boy scanned the strange room around this strange bumbling creature. The scene before him was so ridiculous he wanted to laugh, but that would be rude. His nanny raised him to have manners.
